Why did you join USG?

I initially joined USG driven by my passion for social justice, and soon realized how empowering it is to not only represent my peers but to actively contribute to meaningful change on campus.

What are you hoping to accomplish this year?

As VP of Health and Security, I intend to advocate for policies that combat gender-based discrimination and promote a culture of affirmative consent. I plan to foster a campus climate that prioritizes sexual health, gender equity, and reproductive justice through educational events, while destigmatizing discussions on topics like STI prevention and sexual healthcare. Additionally, I aim to support survivors of sexual harassment and violence, creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive community for all.

What is your hometown?

Glen Cove, NY

What is your favorite thing about Fordham?

Fordham’s traditional college campus, with it’s beautiful greenery and architecture, as well as it’s close proximity to NYC. Really just the best of both worlds.

What has been your favorite class at Fordham so far?

Modern Social Movements with Professor Hernandez-Cardenas
