Why did you join USG?
I joined USG as part of the Diversity Action Coalition committee my freshman year, then I ultimately chaired DAC last year, and I have now succeeded to the presidency, all with the same goal in mind: to make Fordham a more inclusive and welcoming environment by utilizing the voice and responsibility that comes with being a student representative for my peers. Since our job is to represent ALL students, this is of utmost significance for my administration.
What are you hoping to accomplish this year?
I plan to continue expanding my predecessor’s work in bringing USG closer to the rest of Fordham’s student body, making it more approachable and appealing to students who feel USG is not welcoming to those outside the governing body. I also want to bring our nearly 300 members across all 11 committees closer to the governing body of USG and uplift the significance of respective committee member work to the overall success of USG.
What is your hometown?
Hartsdale, New York
What has been your favorite class at Fordham so far?
American Cultures of War with Professor Cawley.
What is your favorite thing about Fordham?
The people and the community! I love seeing new faces (and old ones, since that’s the beauty of Fordham’s size- you get to know familiar faces pretty quickly).
