Why did you join USG?
A person named Squire Bill Widener once said “Do what you can, with what you’ve got, where you are.” I love this quote because found it at a time when I used to think about everything that’s going on with the planet and freak out, not knowing where to even begin to help save it. This quote made me step back, breathe, and realize that I can start by reducing my own school’s carbon footprint! That’s why I am VP of Sustainability, to lead the student efforts that are making this campus more eco-friendly.
What are you working on this year?
We have two broad goals: to update Fordham’s policies, practices, and products to sustainable alternatives and to spread awareness about pressing environmental issues to the student body. We accomplish these goals each year with our multitude of initiatives that are constantly being worked on by all committee members!
