Stephen Pastore

Gabelli School of Business, Class of 2023

Major: Marketing, Visual Arts
Committees: GSB Dean’s Council
Clubs: MODE Magazine, United Student Government
Other Relevant Experience: I served as Class President and Student Council Vice President simultaneously in my senior year of high school. I also served as a committee head for my high school’s first and second annual Mini-THON dance marathon during my junior year and senior year. Furthermore, I was a staffer for a student-led retreat during my junior year of high school. Then, during my senior year, I was chosen as the returning senior staffer for the same retreat trip. Currently, I am a representative on the Gabelli School of Business Dean’s Council. I believe each of these experiences prepared me for student government by allowing me to learn how to truly advocate for and effectively communicate with my peers. Furthermore, I learned a wide variety of leadership skills through these experiences that I can apply to my role as a USG senator.

Why did you join USG?

I joined USG to create positive change by listening to the voices of my fellow students. Furthermore, I wanted to be part of something bigger and continue serving others through student government. This coming year, I hope to focus on initiatives that bring the Fordham community together and promote unconventional business fields within the Gabelli School of Business.

What are you hoping to accomplish this year?

I hope to get the guest policy changed so that students can sign in someone of the opposite gender and also get marketing majors more representation within the Gabelli School of Business. Moreover, I want to start an Instagram account that brings the Fordham community together using the power of social media.
