Why did you join USG?
I joined USG because I wanted a way to make a difference. I hope the position can be an effective tool for all Fordham students in aspiring to be a more sustainable campus!
What are you hoping to accomplish this year?
I hope that I can work with our dining services to reduce the use of single use plastics across our dining locations on campus. By working with the Office for Sustainability, I have already made progress in finding sustainable alternatives, but I plan to keep pushing for Fordham to eliminate single use straws, plates, and utensils.
What is your hometown?
Mystic, Connecticut
What has been your favorite class at Fordham so far?
I took a really great sociology course on criminology that has stood out throughout my time here- it challenged what I believed in and I think about what I learned in it often.
What is your favorite thing about Fordham?
I love Fordham’s alignment with the Jesuit values. As a representative on USG, I do my best to uphold the values in hoping to live in a just relationship with the environment, our common home.
